The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That

I was at the DVD shop looking for movies when I spied a new DVD titled “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That: Up and Away!”. It is a new series on Dr Seuss’ famous Cat in the Hat that was launched third quarter of 2010. It follows the style of “The Cat in the Hat Learning Library” books in that the episodes are both fun and educational. They teach children general knowledge about a variety of subjects.

Since Gavin loves Dr Seuss and he really enjoyed The Cat in the Hat Learning Library, I decided to get it. Gavin really enjoyed this series. Currently, there are only two DVDs out – “Up and Away” and “Wings and Things“. PBS also has a site for children to play games and a resource site for parents.

  1. Hi there, I went to the same shop to get the DVD…and I found it. But only got Up and Away. It had Horton Hears A Who but I thought that I try Cat in the Hat first. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Yeah, only Up and Away is available here. I went to search online to see whether there were others and found Wings and Things. I’m pretty sure it’s just a matter of time before that is available here, too.
