Recipes: Chocolate Veggie Breakfast Smoothie

Here’s our smoothie recipe for the day…

Chocolate Veggie Breakfast Smoothie


  • 1 large banana
  • 4 tbsp oats
  • 2 large handfuls of baby spinach (sorry didn’t measure it out)
  • 1 tbsp wheatgrass powder
  • 5 tbsp Paul’s vanilla yoghurt
  • 1 cup chocolate milk
  • 1 cup ice

This one didn’t go down too well with Aristotle but I loved it. I think it’s a textural thing. The addition of the oats gives the smoothie a slightly powdery consistency which I know from experience that he doesn’t like. I was just trying my luck when I offered it to him.

I didn’t take a picture, but it looks pretty much like this with a slightly more greenish cast to it.
