Being a stay home Mum can sometimes make you feel like not achieving anything for yourself.  It probably doesn’t help when people you meet treat you like a moron.

Having always been an alpha female in my younger days, my entire life has revolved around my successes and personal achievements.  To go from hero to zero has been a crushing blow to my ego to say the least.

To rebuild my sense of self-worth, I have been working online to build an alternative income stream to replace and even surpass the income I would be earning if I were still in the workforce today.  Although I haven’t quite found my success formula, I think I am on to something with a good potential to help me get there.

Probably the only thing that is impeding my progress currently is my lack of focus based on the fact that I have too many things I want to do.  As a consequence, my results have been rather mediocre at best.  It is a well known fact that if you want to be great at something, you need to put in the time to work for it - learn as much as you can about the subject and practice, practice, practice!

So this is my big project that I will be focussing all my attention towards between now and next year:

1. Forex Trading - I feel I am currently relying too heavily on automated systems at present and I really need to learn more about trading.  I have quite a number of resources on hand that I have yet to get through.  I’ll reassess my position when I’m through and decide what other steps I need to take to further my education in this subject.

2. Stock Market - I recently signed up for a year’s subscription of the Motley Fool.  My intention is to open an international trading account and apply what I learn through the Motley Fool to help me make better decisions when it comes to trading in the stock market.
