Gratitude Post - January 13
Posted by: figur8 in Law of Attraction, The Secret, gratitudeEven though my birthday is coming up before Gavin, I have been so busy planning Gavin’s first birthday party that I hardly gave any thought to my own. I guess that’s why I never suspected or even noticed when the hubby planned a surprise party for me.
We were supposed to be shopping at 1Utama for a few miscellaneous items. I ought to have suspected when the hubby first suggested we go on a Sunday of all days. As it stands, the hubby dislikes going to 1Utama because of the crowd and the difficulties finding a parking spot. For him to suggest going on a Sunday - the worst day of the week to go to 1Utama - should have got my radar up that something was amiss.
The second hint which I thought was odd but dismissed was that the hubby rejected my suggestion to eat at Carl Jr’s. Firstly, saying “no” to Carl Jr’s was already odd in itself, but for him to say no for the reason that he felt he ought to be on a diet! That was practically a dead giveaway!
The third hint was when I texted PL to come and join us at 1Utama if they were free. Normally she replies my messages fairly quickly but I got no reply from her this time. I decided perhaps she was just busy. Little did I know they were already on their way over to attend my surprise party!
There are so many things to be grateful about today, but here are five that stand out:
- a wonderful hubby who plans such sweet surprises for me even though I don’t expect him to.
- a new pair of glasses - in case Gavin swipes my old ones.
- great friends and fantastic company.
- another terrific Sunday spent with my two favourite people.
- a productive shopping trip to 1Utama - I even managed to get all the materials I needed for Gavin’s birthday bumble bee outfit. Now let’s hope it’ll look as good as it does in my mind.
