Welcome to my blog. These are the memoirs of an undomestic goddess who went from a high flying corporate career to stay-at-home-Mum. Join me as I learn about Chinese culture, how to cook and decorate a home. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

One week later and no resolutions to the mystery.

I took the full course of Norethisterone as prescribed by the doctor and I’m now on day seven with still no sign of bleeding – not even spotting. Curious…

On the other hand, I have been having non-stop cravings for Pork Ball Noodles in the last week or so, and I’ve gone off some of my favourite foods. I also suspect I’m putting on a bit of weight. I haven’t been monitoring the scales, but my pants are feeling a tad tighter. I wore a pair of jeans that I used to have problems wearing without a belt and it fit snugly – no belt required!

Normally when my period is delayed a little, I have noticed that exercise helps to trigger it. Yesterday, I ran in the Pacesetters’ 15km race and still no bleeding.

I called up the clinic earlier and it seems I might have to go in for another check-up.

If there is some gross mistake somewhere (despite the lack of scientific evidence confirming a pregnancy) and it turns out that I really am pregnant, then I’ve been taking an awful lot of medications that are contra-indicated for the baby. It just seems so odd that all the symptoms fit…

I am still digesting that last thought.
