If ever I felt like the most clueless doofus on Chinese Traditions, this following exchange that took place between another mother-in-law, sister-in-law and bride-to-be, sure makes me feel I am not alone…

During her move in ceremony, the bride brought over her brand new wardrobe to dress the bridal chamber.

Any modern girl knows that black is the most flattering shade and would naturally sport a few dark pieces in her wardrobe.

This particular bride sported more than a few dark pieces. In fact, her entire wardrobe consisted of black clothes.

Spying this, her mother-in-law (MIL) complained to her daughter. “Who is she mourning for? We’re not dead, yet!”
