Looking After Your Runners

Published by figur8 at 6:59 pm under Tips, running shoes

I got this information from the New Balance Shop in 1Utama which I wrote about in my last post.

Generally if you keep your shoes well (i.e. out of the heat), then a decent pair of running shoes will see you through about 600miles. However, if you’re starting to feel pain earlier, it might be wise to replace them sooner. The rubber also has a shelf life so even if you keep your shoes in the cupboard, it might be time to change them if they haven’t seen the light of day for a long time.

Erm… to those people I mentioned about chucking your shoes into the washing machine… Well, er, I just heard it’s not really advisable. Oops. Sorry. Well, that’s what I do to mine when they get dirty. Perhaps it’s time I stop being lazy… It’s also suggested you take out the “insoles” when you’re drying your shoes.
