Gavin is back at school, so it looks like we won’t be getting around to the rest of the extra-curricular classes we were planning to try out during his school holidays. Since he finishes school later now and he will be having ECAs at school, I figured he would need some “down time” and time spent with the family.

Since I’ve already found the contacts, I thought I would write about the other places we were planning to try so if you are interested in those classes, you can contact them directly.

For Speech and Drama, I am aware of two places that offer it:

Lorna Whiston

Lorna Whiston is a study center to help young students improve their English. They also run Speech and Drama classes alongside their English programs. They are currently located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail:

Speech and Drama classes run for an hour. They are available for:

Early Bird (Age 4 / S&D A)
Elementary (Ages 5 and 6 / S&D B and C)
Intermediate (Ages 7 to 12 / S&D 1 to 6)
Advanced (Ages 13 to 17 / Advanced S&D 1 to 4)

Lorna Whiston also offers English as a Second Language, Advance Language and Public Speaking courses. They accept children from age 4 onwards.

BluBricks

I discovered BluBricks when I was checking out Kids E World. Based on a status update on Facebook, they have started their Speech and Drama classes at Kids E World already. Alternatively, you can approach BluBricks directly. They have three schools – Kota Damansara, Ampang, and Bukit Jelutong. Here is the contact for Kota Damansara:

BluBricks offers classes for children as young as 3 years old and their program continues all the way up to a Diploma in Speech and Drama so if your child wants to take it more seriously, this may be the school to go for.
