Jungle Gym and Extra-Curricular Activities: Kid’s E World

I spy a new jungle gym! And it’s located on Level 4 of The Gardens in MidValley opposite GSC Cinemas. I took the kids for a visit and it has become Gavin’s new favourite jungle gym because they have everything at the BSC jungle gym and, I quote, “a slide with a ball pool”!

They have a bouncy castle fill with balls (center back), a bouncy boat (right), a horse merry-go-round (left), and psychedelic slide (behind the horses):

There is a pomel-type merri-go-round (left), some punching bags (right), and some other structures in the background that I don’t know the function of.

They have a spiral slide as well as three big slides that end in a ball pit (Gareth’s favourite area because I had a lot of trouble getting him to leave it to check out the rest of the gym).

Lots of running and crawling areas – there is more that I didn’t get to explore because Gareth wouldn’t follow but Gavin had a gala time in the maze.

There is also a trampoline (front) and those machines that shoot foam balls (back):

They also have little swings around the place and soft structures like those in Gymboree (back):

As far as children’s jungle gyms go, this is a kid’s paradise. This is the biggest jungle gym I’ve seen so far (also MegaKidz in Megamall could possibly be as large).

Aside from the play land, they also have a cafe. They offer party packages, special courses, wifi and it appears they will also eventually have a cardio gym area for parents (so now we can work out while our children play – although I think running after the kids while they play is quite a workout in itself judging from how I felt after yesterday).

Details:

Admission is RM30 for weekdays and RM50 for weekends and holidays (pretty steep compared to the other jungle gyms around). Children below 60cm tall can enter for free. They do offer multiple entry vouchers – weekdays buy 4 get 1 free; weekends buy 2 get 1 free.

Of course, it being Midvalley, where would you be without a “drop and shop”? It’s RM30/hour on weekdays and RM50/hour on weekends (20% extra for children below 2 years old – I wonder if they change diapers?)

Children below 7 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each child entry allows 2 adults to enter (each subsequent adult will be charged RM5 each). Like most other jungle gyms, socks must be worn by parents and children.

  1. Oh, great, I would also try this out apart from Megakids @ MidValley after closure of Kidzsport in One Utama, another option to V, having said that, it looks a little “kiddy”, wonder if it’s suitable to 5 yo child….

  2. That has got to be the coolest jungle gym I have ever seen, I think I would even have fun there. lol.

  3. Hi Parents,

Wish to enquire if anyone knows when would the new Kidzania @ Petaling Jaya, ( the one in close proximity to Ikea), start its operation ? Soon this year or next year….

  4. Hi FZ – Have not been to Megakids so I cannot offer a basis for comparison but I think she might enjoy the other section that Gavin explored. I didn’t get as many photos because Gareth just wanted to stay in the ball pool.

As for Kidzania, target opening is currently Dec 2011:

Sounds impressive though. Will definitely have to take the kids to check it out.

  5. Just walked over to KEW club, mm….perhaps KEW is suitable to younger children while Megakidz’s set up is more challenging to bigger children, I observed the running and crawling areas are much spacious, higher and challenging in MidValley and……again the one here has no ball pool to play with……

  6. Ah ok. Then Megakidz will probably not be suitable for us right now because Gareth will be too young for it… Thanks for the update.

  7. Thanks for the update. Shall be checking it out too.
Btw, Julia Gabriel offers eduDrama classes, drama is JG’s specialty. But the timing doesn’t suit us…
