The flashcards I have been uploading are flashcards created according to the Glenn Doman reading kit. Although I have the reading kit, I made these cards to supplement the reading kit because I found there were a lot of words that Gareth didn’t know anything about. For instance, I was trying to teach him how to read words like “clarinet” and “cello” when he has never seen either. He doesn’t even know what they are.
Showing baby pictures is a good start to helping them understand what these words mean. However, it is a good idea to reinforce them when you see the live example as you go about your daily activities. For instance, at the supermarket, I show Gareth all the different fruits and vegetables I can find.
The flashcards in this series are of musical instruments.
For a guideline on how to use the slides, I recommend you check out my blog posts on How to Teach Your Baby (the Glenn Doman way) or you can read the book “How to Teach Your Baby to Read” by Glenn Doman. Please note that this is only a rough guideline and you should always follow your child’s lead. Some children may find the Doman method to be excessive in repetition and get bored easily. You will need to step it up and introduce new cards more frequently.
