QoW: Do Boys Use Less Diapers Than Girls?

Hello! I see you're new here. Welcome to Babylicious! You might like to subscribe to my RSS feed to get regular updates on what's new at Babylicious. Thanks for visiting!

I’ve decided to start a new series of posts on this blog called “Question of the Week” or QoW.  The intention was to run it every Monday but since we’ve already missed Monday of this week, here it is a little late in the week:

Do boys use less diapers than girls?

It is a question I’ve been pondering on ever since my friend made the remark.  Having had two kids – a girl first followed by a boy – she told me she’s noticed that her son doesn’t go through as many diapers as her daughter.  Her comment triggered the recall of another conversation I had some time back with my cousin who also has two kids – a girl first followed by a boy – and she, too, said that she doesn’t go through as many many diapers with her son compared to her daughter.

Having gone out with friends with children, I’ve also noticed that I don’t need to change Gavin’s diaper quite as often as those who have girls.  Of course it could also be due to any number of other factors.

So here’s my question to other Mums reading this blog:
