Do babies develop food preferences while they are in the womb? I’ve read that they can taste the flavours of food that Mummy is eating even while they are in the womb. I wonder if that can translate to forming taste preferences?
It could just be a coincidence but for every single meal that I have containing beef, Gavin gets quite excited, kicking and squirming. Well, it could go one of two ways – either he’s shuddering with delight or he’s kicking to tell me he hates it. I’m assuming he enjoys it because it’s the only meat that I haven’t gotten sick of during my entire pregnancy not matter how much of it I ate. It should also be noted that I was a vegetarian before I became pregnant.
Gavin doesn’t usually move when I’m eating, so I’m inclined to think it’s the beef that gets him going. The other food that gets him excited is prawns. This little piece of news has made his Daddy proud because these two happen to be Daddy’s favourite, too.
